Surveys will be locked in 48 hours! Get those survey's in if you haven't yet

Hello everyone!

Notices just went out via email to let you know surveys will be locked in 48 hours. This means that if you wanted to add any last minute items then now is the time to do it! We're still waiting on over 20 surveys to get in so please check your emails for them so I can get the most accurate counts to order. If you can't find your survey just let me know and I'll get you a fresh link :)

Next Survey Step

Once orders are locked then the cards on file via Backerkit will be charged - this is only if you added extra items in the Backerkit store. Because of when the orders will lock (Friday evening), this means cards will be charged first thing on Monday morning. (June 7th)

Ordering supplies

After surveys are locked then everything will be counted, calculated and orders for the new merch will be placed! So far we're doing well with sticking on the timeline set for everything to start shipping by late July or early August, so there's not much change there.

A bit of celebration here! According to Backerkit, it seems like so far the most ordered item is the full set of washi tape and I'm truly blown away! This is the first set of washi I've ever designed and it humbles me to my core that it's getting so much love. I'm excited to consider washi as a permanent part of my merch lineup and you have all given me the confidence to explore them more! Perhaps a fall collection would be next? They'll likely not be in a Kickstarter so if you want to see when future washi is released, the best way is to jump on the mailing list :)

It's time! 

I just sent out all surveys so you should be seeing yours within the next couple hours. Please be sure to check your spam folders in case it ends up there. If you still haven't received your survey by tomorrow please let me know and I'll resend it to you.

The sooner we get surveys completed, the sooner the orders can be placed for the pins. To get a good estimate for how much to order, about 80% of the surveys will need to be in. I'll make an update before orders are locked in case you need or want to change or add anything before then.

I've activated Backerkit's support team to help you out if you have any questions about your order, how to add/remove items and things like that - I believe the link for that should be visible on your survey. Please reach out to them for active assistance with filling out your survey if you need it. They will be much faster and more knowledgeable than I with any issues that may come up.

Smoke Test surveys are out! Here's what to look for

Surveys are starting to go out

Hello all! Whew, I just got my 2nd covid vaccine this week and it took me a little longer to get to the surveys than I was hoping for, but I'm back and ready to get things rolling.

The smoke test surveys have just been sent out from Backerkit - this means that a portion of backers from each pledge level will get the survey right now, so if you don't see a survey yet don't worry - it'll come in the next group. The smoke test allows me to see if anything is not working correctly and needs adjustment.

If you are one of the lucky first to get your survey, please feel free to let me know what you think! Whether it was 100% awesome or you think something was weird - especially if you think something was weird - please don't hesitate to let me know. You can comment here or send me a private message, either works!

Thank You!!

I know this update is a few days past the ending of the Kickstarter, but I wanted to get a few things together to show you all the backing card designs along with some of the extra goodies I've added to the Backerkit store. But really, thank you all so much for helping this be another wonderful success! I love creating dragons so much and these projects are always so filled with excitement. 

But first, about the surveys

This is a small delay. I was completely convinced that I could send out surveys right away, but Backerkit highly recommends I wait two weeks for all of the payments from Kickstarter to go through before I send them out. I do see a few payment error messages in Kickstarter, so if we can get those resolved before the two weeks then I'll send out surveys sooner! This means the smoke test (10% of all) surveys will likely go out next week instead, and if those look good the rest will follow. At this point this shouldn't affect the timeline very much as I planned for extra days just in case. I'll make another update when the smoke test surveys go out.

Backing cards reveal!

For the wood pins the black paper used when I photographed the prototypes, paired with the glowing fern designs fit perfectly. The backing cards match the past pins at size 2.5x5 inches. If you don't want backing cards, in the Backerkit store you will see a listing for "GO GREEN" which you can add to your cart to remove them from all pins in your order (except for the LE pins).

The all metal Lucky Dragon pins were the hardest to design for since I was making one card for all four color options. I really think they'll look good with the silhouette style black window though! I like to design backing cards that make it clear that pins belong in sets instead of using the same backing for everything. It spices things up!

The Limited Edition Luna pin is the only one that has a different sized card which matches the LE pins from past campaigns. The larger card also allows me to sign it :)

Extra goodies you'll find in the Backerkit store

After you fill out your survey you'll get access to the Backerkit store where you can add any extras you want including pins, washi and stickers. I always have a few small things I like to add there so it doesn't crowd up the main campaign - and also mark these at discounted rates! I've decided to keep most of the stickers from the last campaign since they fit so nicely with the nature washi tapes, and I've added a few more new ones!

First up you'll find the regular version of the sticker promo, printed on clear vinyl. These will be  5 inches on the longest side.

Below are the other new stickers added, including the holographic version of "Crescent" for this campaign! We didn't reach the stretch goal for it but I added it to the store for purchase. A few supporting nature stickers of watercolor trees and the crystal were added to match the washi tape designs. The celestial bird and moth series are printed on clear vinyl, and overall I just think they're really fun - they would pair well with the celestial dragon pins.

And of course for anyone who wanted only specific designs of washi tape, you'll be able to add individual rolls.

Lots of exciting things still happening as you can see, but now is just a short waiting period while payments finish processing and all that! I'll be back with another update when surveys start going out.

New stretch for a goal holographic sticker, 2 add-on sets added & Patreon pin promo!

Only a few days left and going strong  - new things to share!

We're in the final stretch of the campaign with just four days left now, and it's the perfect time to reveal a little boost - with a final stretch goal! Now is the time give it a share or two on social media and get one of these gorgeous stickers added into every pledge

We're already so close to unlocking this and I know we can make it :D

Two add-on sets now available

To make adding extra pins easier for those who want multiple pins (and for those in the Limited Edition tier) I've added two pre-made sets. I decided against adding too many sets to keep it simple, so I've chosen what I feel will be the most common combinations. All of these pins can be added individually by choosing the "+1 Open Edition Pin of your Choice" add-on as well, but adding as a set will remove the need for you to choose each design individually later.

The Celestial Dragons set takes each of the main open edition dragons from the past three campaigns. These are my most popular designs so it makes sense to create a set for them!

I've been told that sometimes Kickstarter reverts quantities for add-ons or is glitching when pledges are changed. Don't worry! You will be able to add any extra pins or washi in the Backerkit store when the surveys go out. Just keep in mind that if you add on a pre built set, you won't be able to change the designs later as it's automatic.

Kickstarter Promo for the Patreon Exclusive Pin 

I always offer an exclusive pin to all of my new and upgrading Patrons who join the $20 and higher tiers as a membership pin, however I'm running a special for Kickstarter backers!
